NBC has banned the airing of PETA’s new Super Bowl commercial deeming it too sexy for TV. The PETA commercial in question shows sexy lingerie-clad models interacting with some vegetables and the message “Studies Show Vegetarians Have Better Sex.”
Sure, there’s a quick hot tub scene, maybe some questionable side boob action, the use of oil and the flashing of the word “sex.” But in retrospective, the commercial is quite tame. I think I’ve seen more action on PBS.
A PETA rep is quoted by the New York Post saying:
“PETA’s veggie ads are locked out, while ads for fried chicken and burgers are allowed, even though these foods make Americans fat, sick and boring in bed.”
