I’ve always been more of a dog person than a cat lover (they start off so cute and then turn so evil!), but they do get some pretty epic gadgets created for them.
This new one is called the SureFeed Microchip Pet Feeder. It uses your cat’s existing tag or microchip to recognize it and only open for that one animal. This prevents cats from stealing other cats’ food. I’m not sure what happens if another cat approaches while the first one is eating. Maybe it closes… or better yet, what if it gives the wrong cat a little shock to warn it about honing in on its friend’s vittles?
I’m sure it doesn’t do that stuff because I hear shocking cats is frowned upon. Still, pretty cool little gadget.
The company does more than make feeders, they’ve also got a great line of pet doors that only let pets with a recognized tag enter the house.
