The new trailer is out for Taika Waititi’s WWII satire, Jojo Rabbit, about a young boy in the Nazi Youth who has an idiot version of Hitler for an imaginary friend, and a Jewish girl hiding in his attic. As odd as the premise sounds, it looks like a heart-warming film that deals with some big topics in a way that most people should be able to digest without crying politics.

Along with Waititi as Hitler, the film sports a stellar cast that includes Roman Griffin Davis as JoJo, Scarlett Johansson as his mom, Thomasin McKenzie as the young Jewish girl they are hiding, and Rebel Wilson, Stephen Merchant, Sam Rockwell as the most entertaining Nazis we’ve probably seen on stage since The Producers.

Jojo Rabbit hits Theaters October 18, 2019.

Writer director Taika Waititi (THOR: RAGNAROK, HUNT FOR THE WILDERPEOPLE), brings his signature style of humor and pathos to his latest film, JOJO RABBIT, a World War II satire that follows a lonely German boy (Roman Griffin Davis as JoJo) whose world view is turned upside down when he discovers his single mother (Scarlett Johansson) is hiding a young Jewish girl (Thomasin McKenzie) in their attic. Aided only by his idiotic imaginary friend, Adolf Hitler (Taika Waititi), Jojo must confront his blind nationalism. In Theaters October 18, 2019
