We hadn’t heard much about Gunpowder Milkshake, but now that a trailer has dropped, we can’t wait for the film to be released. Starring Karen Gillan, Lena Headley, and Angela Basset, the film tells the story of a mercenary who has to turn to her estranged mother (also a mercenary), when a job gets complicated and she becomes the target, not the hunter.
It’s not the most original plot, and there’s a more than a little bit of a nod to the John Wick Franchise visible from the very first shot of the trailer, but it looks fun, and we are always up for a chance to watch such an amazing team of actors kick serious ass on screen. It doesn’t hurt that joining them are powerhouse actors like Michelle Yeoh, Paul Giamatti, and Carla Gugino.
