Hugh Jackman just recently did an interview with the Sidney Confidential. In it, his recent tweets about Wolverine 3 came up as well as some questions about what fans can expect. Here’s what he had to say:
Jackman: “There were a lot of calls for Victor Creed to come back, there was… I must admit I was quite heartened by a number of people saying please don’t make it the last, but I’m really excited about this last one, and if you’re a comic book fan, then the words ‘berserker rage’ came up a lot, so if you know Wolverine, you’ll understand.”
I’ll be honest. This worries me. I’m all for rage and Sabretooth, but I’m not for a movie that is completely beholden to fan opinion before it gets started. Yes, there are times when fans get it right, but if the new Star Wars films were that heavily influenced by fan opinion they would be 2 hours of Jar Jar Binks getting sexually assaulted by a rancor who only stops periodically to eat and ewok and burp the word medichlorian.
