Mega Man is going through a bit of a resurgence right now. Along with a new animated series on the way from Ben 10’s Man Of Action, there’s also a movie in the works. However, the new announcement about just who will be making that movie is leaving fans feeling more than a little unsure of things. 20th Century Fox has named Henry Joost and Ariel Schulman as the writers and directors of their planned adaptation. If the names don’t sound familiar to you, you must not be a fan of the popular Documentary, Catfish, about a guy who got tricked into falling in love with a fictional woman on an online dating site. Don’t worry though, it’s not like they’ve never directed a fictional movie before. After all, they made Paranormal Activity 3 & 4, Nerve, and Viral. So… um… there’s that?

On the brighter side, they will not be making the movie without some solid geek help in the way of Masi Oka (Hiro from Heroes).

There are currently no details about the plot, of yet, but we can only imagine what they will come up with. Just remember, no matter how bad the movies are, they can never take the old NES games away from us!
