It’s no longer a possibility but a certainty. After raking in $156 million (the film only cost $3M to make) with the supernatural sequel “Paranormal Activity 2,” Paramount Pictures has officially booked a release date for this third installment next year.

Fans can expect paranormal activities to return next year on October 21st, 2011. This news comes directly from Oren Peli, the director of the first film and producer for the sequel.

It was uncertain how well the sequel would do due to the nature of the first film which barely made its way into theaters. But now that Paramount knows that success can be repeated, expect them to keep at it every year until people wise up and stop giving a damn.

They’ve managed to up the fright in the sequel, so while we know nothing about this latest film, we’re confident when we say it’ll probably be even more scary.
