It isn’t easy being a superhero, especially a Green Lantern. At least that’s what actor Ryan Reynolds would say.
According to Us Magazine, Reynolds suffered an injury while filming on the New Orleans set of “Green Lantern.”
The 33-year-old actor was injured Monday while shooting a scene for director Martin Campbell’s developing DC Comics adaptation. According to reports, Reynolds separated his shoulder and “is in lots of pain.” Reynolds’ representatives did not comment on Us Magazine’s story.
The extent of Reynold’s injury is unknown, but he has been treating himself by incing the injury. Because the incident took place earlier this week, it’s also unknown how it will impact the shooting schedule on “Green Lantern.”
Reynolds’ separated shoulder marks the second time someone from the set has been injured. Stuntman Jeff Wolfe had dislocated his shoulder on set back in March. Actress Blake Lively chipped in saying how physical the “Green Lantern” shoot was, explaining that “the fights [are] close and dirty.”
“I’m 40 feet in the air, spiraling around,” she described. “That’s the best workout you can ever do because it’s all core. You do that for ten minutes and you should see your body the next day! It’s so exhilarating, so thrilling — and nauseating.”
