The Marvel Animation panel is just wrapping up from Hall H at Comic-Con and we are getting our first look at a bunch of projects, including the upcoming series Spider-Man: Freshman Year. According to the panel, the series will give Disney+ viewers a new look at Peter Parker’s early years as both a high school student and your friendly neighborhood wall-crawler.

The series will not be set in the MCU, but fans will definitely recognize a familiar voice as Charlie Cox is on-hand to voice Daredevil. Aside from Matt Murdock, Spidey will also get assistance from Doctor Strange and Norman Osborne, who is taking on the role of Mentor for the teen. He’ll also have a few familiar Marvel Comics characters as classmates including Nico from Runaways and Amadeus Cho.

The main baddies that he’ll be going up against include Doctor Octopus, Chameleon, and the Scorpion. And, we’ll have a chance to watch Spider-Man evolve as he tries out different personas, hones his skills and navigates puberty. The series has already been renewed with Spider-Man: Sophmore Year already set to premier later in 2024.
