If you thought that the Creed films with Michael B Jordan should be considered Rocky 7 and 8, you are just wrong. Those are spin-offs or possibly even requels. For Franchise star and creator Sylvester Stallone, there’s still some gas left in the original franchise and plenty of room for at least one more film where Rocky Balboa is the main event.

In a new interview with Variety, Stallone went as far as to lay out his pitch for the next Rocky movie and it’s both interesting and very timely. Here’s what he had to say:

Rocky meets a young, angry person who got stuck in this country when he comes to see his sister. He takes him into his life, and unbelievable adventures begin, and they wind up south of the border. It’s very, very timely. . . Do you tell someone that you just met in the street who’s struggling and homeless to get out, or do you take him in? If you take him in, you’re in trouble.

If you think the idea of Stallone doing one more standalone Rocky film is absurd, don’t forget that his final Rambo film, Rambo: Last Blood is set to hit theaters this fall.
