Fans have always wanted an Uncharted film starring Nathan Fillion. He’s who the character was designed after and he even proved he could do it in a great fan film that was released last year (check it out below). However, the studio decided that they needed to go younger and the hottest young talent they’ve got (who can do some of his own stunts) is the current Spider-Man, Tom Holland.
Today the film moved one step closer to production with the news that Dan Trachtenberg, the director of 10 Cloverfield Lane, had been hired to helm the movie. We don’t have too much to look at in the way of Trachtenberg’s work, but what he’s done that we have seen is pretty good. Along with the Cloverfield sequel, he also directed the Playtest episode of Black Mirror. His upcoming projects include ‘The Secret Life of Houdini’ and the pilot episode of the comic book adaptation live-action series ‘The Boys.’
