Courtesy of AdLandTV, we present your first look at several Superbowl commercials and teasers for commercials that will be airing this weekend on Superbowl Sunday, February 7th 2010. With all the hype of the great quarterback showdown between Peyton Manning and Drew Brees, even I’ve forgotten about the awesomeness bonus of Superbowl ads. Anyway, check out these new 2010 Superbowl ads below, and be sure to watch them all this Sunday.
In this ad, Brett Favre is ten years older but your Hyundai looks as good as the day you got it.
The Groundhog Day-themed spot features Troy Polamalu of the Pittsburgh Steelers. The ad promotes the new truTV series NFL FULL CONTACT, which premieres the day after the Super Bowl: Monday, Feb. 8, at 10 p.m. In the ad, Troy plays the role of “Punxsutawney Polamalu.” After he sees his shadow, a proclamation of six more weeks of football is declared.
This year Cars.com reasons “If it ain’t broke, don’t fix it” and basically repeat David Abernathy from Super Bowl XLIII. Except Timothy puts out a grease fire from his highchair. Bypassed the training wheel stage while learning to ride a bike. Helped a damsel on the beach suffering from a jellyfish sting, in perfect italian. Delivered breached Bengal cubs. And rescued a cheerleading squad from a tornado.
In their by now standard bait-and-switch, Danica Patrick does something sorta sexy, and Godaddy wants you to log on to Godaddy.com to see the end of their ad. Same procedure as last year, James. Same procedure as every year.
Set to “Ain’t no sunshine when she’s gone” we watch as our hero decents through the nine rancid, writhing, violent, befouled, fiery circles of Hell to rescue Beatrice. This ad is set to air in the fourth quarter.
Even the paint on a Hyundai Sonata is a work of art says their super bowl commercial. Airing 3rd quarter.
Airing during the fourth quarter, the 30-second spot features an animated squirrel with an insatiable
appetite for ?”squirreling away” all things cargo, set to the tune of “Funky Stuff” by Kool & The Gang.
Still found of the bait-and-switch, Godaddy’s second super bowl commercial depicts a “live news” interview going wrong, as the reporter suddenly decides to strip but before anything happens you’ll be greeted with the usual “go to godaddy.com to see the rest”: “In GoDaddy.com’s 2010 Super Bowl commercial, Danica Patrick is shocked when a sexy newscaster gets ‘too hot for TV’ during a live TV interview. ” Shocked she is, SHOCKED.
