A new YouGov survey proves that there are a lot of stupid people in the US. The survey asked 8,215 US adults (weighted to be representative of the entire US population) their views on the shape of the world we all are currently inhabiting.
Overall, the results show that 84% of respondents have always believed the earth was round, but that number drops to 66% when you look at just Americans between the ages of 18-24. Thankfully, 94% of people over the age of 55 know that the earth is round.
In a time where the US is falling further and further behind in science and education, this result isn’t as surprising as it is really sad.
