This is definitely not what most of us grew up with when we think about an Easy bake Oven. You remember… the little plastic box that would make you a cake with nothing but a really hot light bulb? Well, In Japan they do things a little bit differently. Forget the light bulb. Forget the cake. Now, bring in a bit of molecular gastronomy and poof! you’ve got candy sushi!
The more I watch this video, the less sure I am whether or not this looks gross or if I really want to try it… or both. By using the included molds and chemicals, you are able to create sushi rolls, nigiri and even candy salmon roe.
The biggest problem for me is that while you are making it, it just looks like a a dish full of snot.
