Last night, we showed a great clip from this weekends upcoming Night of Too Many Stars, the annual Comedy Central Benefit to raise money for Autism research. That clip of Harvey Kietel singing Call Me Maybe with Carly Rae Jepsen was just very funny. This one is one of the most touching things that you’ll see today.
Jodie DiPiazza is a teenager with Austism. She’s also a tremendous musical performer and a huge fan of Katy Perry. In this clip, you get to see her live out one of her biggest dreams as she plays piano and sings
“Firework” with Katy Perry live on stage.
Also included in the video is her story and just how far she has come with the help of special education.
Katy Perry is still tweeting about the duet:
“I will never forget last night. It was the most important moment thus far of what I do.”
“Jodi is my firework.”
Get your tissues ready, if this doesn’t bring a tear to your eye… you might be a little bit dead inside.
