I know they meant well, but the hosts of the NBC TODAY show turned one of the world’s most beloved comic strips into a horrific vision of terror when they donned costumes themed after the characters from Charlie Brown and Peanuts.
The costumes went way past cute or even realistic into a strange, surrealistic vision that you’d expect to come out of a fever dream or possibly a bad trip.
In case you can’t recognize them, here is the breakdown of characters:
Al Roker as Charlie Brown, Meredith Viera as Pig Pen, Carson Daly as Linus, Matt Lauer as Lucy, Willie Geist as Schroeder, Hoda Kotb as Snoopy, and Kathie Lee Gifford as Woodstock.
The new series is set for a two-episode premiere, June 4 on Disney+.
