Not sure why this is making AP news but it’s cool nonetheless. President Obama was spotted in Iowa inside the Prairie Lights bookstore purchasing Matthew Reinhart’s “Star Wars: A Pop-Up Guide to the Galaxy” for the six-year-old son of press secretary Robert Gibbs.
Obama also bought two books for his daughters, 11-year-old Malia and 8-year-old Sasha. They were not Star Wars related. The total for the three books came out to be $37.44. He paid with cash.
This might be the first time you’ll ever see a President of the United States purchasing a Star Wars book. Now the real question remains, does this make Obama a Star Wars guy?
