Ever wondered what serial killers do when they aren’t busy chopping up bodies and sending maniacal rants to newspapers about the voices in their heads? It turns out that they do all sorts of things, but there are certain career paths that seem to be specifically popular among them.
Criminologist Professor Michael Arntfield, the author of ‘Murder in Plain English’, has studied serial killers for years and he’s found that they tend to gravitate towards these twelve specific jobs. As to the reason these jobs are most popular, Arntfield, had this to say:
‘[It’s a] combination of mobility, power (whether structural or actual), and the fact many jobs also simultaneously satisfy the underlying paraphilias, or sexual preoccupations, that also fuel killers’ crimes,’
Here’s the list. Have fun not trusting anyone ever again.
