Welcome to another great edition of The Weekly Muppet. The Muppets have existed in all different forms from Sesame street to TV commercials and any number of movies, but for me it all comes down to the Muppet Show.
The scary thing is that the Muppet Show almost never hit the airwaves. The idea of a puppet show in Prime Time was a big risk and it took some major convincing to get CBS to give it a shot. Take a look at this sales pitch that Jim Henson put together for the top brass at CBS to help seal the deal.
The new series is set for a two-episode premiere, June 4 on Disney+.
