Just a couple of minutes ago, Paramount dropped a new trailer for the Terminator soft-reboot/sequel, Terminator: Dark Fate. the new trailer is filled with footage we haven’t seen before and it gives us a lot more of Linda Hamilton’s return as Sarah Connor.

We’ve been burned by Terminator sequels before, so it’s hard to get too excited, but it looks like the return of James Cameron to the producer role and the addition of Deadpool director Tim Miller may have finally righted the ship.

Mackenzie Davis’ character is still shrouded in a good amount of mystery (as is Shwarzeneggar’s) and that’s good. We don’t need to know the whole film before it comes out. As for Gabriel Luna, it definitely feels like he studied at the school of Robert Patrick’s Terminator-style, but it’s yet to be seen how much of a real villain he is vs an excuse to show off the special effects they came up with for splitting him between traditional Terminator and the liquid metal variety.

Linda Hamilton (“Sarah Connor”) and Arnold Schwarzenegger (“T-800”) return in their iconic roles in Terminator: Dark Fate, directed by Tim Miller (Deadpool) and produced by visionary filmmaker James Cameron and David Ellison. Following the events of Terminator 2: Judgment Day, Terminator: Dark Fate also stars Mackenzie Davis, Natalia Reyes, Gabriel Luna, and Diego Boneta.
