The Strangely Outstanding Orchestral Arrangement For Rebecca Black’s ‘Friday’

How do you know when you have a smash hit? When you’re Rebecca Black and someone decides to make an orchestral arrangement for your song. Despite what the tough guys on the Internet are saying, Black is without doubt the most successful and popular “musician” of 2011.

Check out this amazing orchestral arrangement for “Friday” composed by Walt Ribeiro. According to the Orchestra, he is a fan of the song explaining:

It’s on par with Stravinsky’s Rite of Spring, and Beethoven’s Fifth Symphony. Why? Well, I constantly say that music isn’t about eighth notes and harmonic minor scales. Its purpose is to create emotion. It doesn’t matter what that emotion is – it could be happy, sad, fear, uncertainty, anger, calmness, or in this case – hilariousness.
