A man, 30, dressed as a ninja and waving nunchucks was arrested Sunday by Vernon police.
The man who is suspected to not really be a ninja due to his capture, was arrested dressed as a ninja while yelling obscenities about wanting to beat up U.S. Sen. Joe Lieberman.
He was charged with breach of peace and was later brought to Rockville General Hospital for a psychiatric evaluation and later released.
Authorities said they received several emergency calls about the man, who witnesses say was standing at the corner of Route 83 and Regan Road at about 11 a.m dressed as a ninja and waving nunchucks.
Officers said the man was polite and cooperative and very unsneaky-ninja like after police pulled out bean bag and teaser guns.
The man couldn’t be reached Monday. He has no public phone listing, and it’s not clear whether he has a lawyer.
